Chao em,

Thank you for your message, it really touches me.

I regret we won't meet this time in Hanoi, as we seem to have so much to share! But I plan to come back regularly so we can meet later in Vietnam.
Or maybe we meet in France if you come here. Please let me know and I'd be delighted to host you at my home.

Let's keep in touch. If you want to know more on open source, economics or whatever that could help support Vietnam's development, I'd be happy to help you.
My Grandfather was born in Ha Tinh, so not far from you. Another reason to meet again in Vietnam after 2014 :-)

All the best
Thanh Huong

I want to believe in the notion that technological progress, when reaching at a certain degree will help us to deal with environment issues. But will that happen, how long it takes? until that i decided to live a lifestyle having smoother effect on the planet

I tried to access open course ware sources and free materials but I did not reach what I want. This semester, i am starting to learning from the basic of all. Fortunately here I know what I lack and where I can find it. My country is so far behind developed countries in term of science and technology. and also I so blind in Economics as Social Science. I want to learn faster and deeper, to not only learn but can create knowledge.

But it is totally different when you come to the suburb where village and rice field continue to each other. It will be very peaceful and people are very genuine
> i was born in the Nghe An, Central of Vietnam, than I studied in Hanoi and my family move to Vung Tau, in the Southern. There are a lot of differences in people, landscape, culture, economy between regions across the country. If you have chance, you should go Da nang, Hoi An, Hue, Ho Chi Minh, Tay Nam Bo... It will be very different I have once go alone along the country, so if you want planning, information about places..., I will be very happy to share with you. I love all the places and I hope you will too.

(I always love homestay when going to other countries) You should connect with more people or organization, specially with teachers and college students. Students are very friendly, and they are eager to learn. You will be very welcome there. You may homestay the first week and then find apartment later, or ask to stay longer.
> one of my ideas for you is to go volunteer in Hanoi, for SJ Vietnam, for example. www.sjvietnam.org/. they have many short work camps (2 weeks) or longer, easy to apply, both international and local volunteer work there. I have been volunteer here, it is nice. They provide accommodation and you need a little fee to go here. I think you can apply for a 2 week volunteer here, and then when you get familiar with people and place, you can ask and find suitable place to move.

Do you know good language schools for people like me (I speak ordinary vietnamese, can write and read and know pronunciation well as I talked vietnamese until I was 13 or 14 years old)? Also do you know if I could rent a room for 2 months in the center (near Ho Tay, or in the old City)? Who should I contact to find out?
